Harvard Lung Conference

Joseph B. Martin Conference Center, Boston, MA
October 6-7, 2010

Since 2008, the Harvard Lung Conference has been holding quarterly regional meetings comprised of participants from the Boston-area institutions of Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Children’s Hospital Boston, and the Harvard School of Public Health. In 2010, due to the wealth of new findings in the field of pulmonary disease and medicine, the Organizing Committee of the Harvard Lung Conference decided to plan their first national-scale meeting, which drew approximately 240 participants nationally and internationally.
Strategic Results successfully planned and executed this first large-scale Harvard Lung Conference, which brought together top researchers in the field of pulmonary disease to discuss cutting-edge research and its implications for and implementation into clinical practice. This innovative conference presented the latest findings in a wide variety of topics related to pulmonary disease:

  • Stem Cell/Regenerative Medicine
  • Omics/High Throughput Discovery
  • Cellular and Immunological Basis of Airways Lung Disease
  • Lung Injury and Vascular Injury

The conference succeeded in providing a forum for physicians and scientists alike to form new collaborations leading to previously unexplored directions for research in the field. Destined to become one of the most significant national pulmonary conferences, Strategic Results was pleased to facilitate the inaugural session of the national Harvard Lung Conference.
