Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension in HIV Patients (Summary of Presentation)

Dr. Simonneau is Professor of Pneumology and Head of the Department of Pulmonary Disease and Intensive Care Unit, Hospital Antoine Beclere-Clamart-University Paris XI. In 1998, he  was Director of UPRES on pulmonary vascular diseases (Unite Propre de Recherche de l’Enseignement Superieur) University Paris XI and Paris V.  In 2000, Dr. Simonneau was President of the working group on pulmonary circulation of the European Society of Cardiology and in 2005, he was Head of the reference national center for pulmonary hypertension.

Dr. Simonneau earned his medical degree in Respiratory Medicine from University Paris XII and completed a five-year residency (1974-1979) in respiratory and critical care medicine at the University de Paris.  He became a full Professor of Pneumology in 1985.

Dr. Simonneau is co-author of more than twenty-two peer-reviewed publications.
