The Serotonin Pathway and Related Therapeutic Strategies in Pulmonary Hypertension (Summary of Presentation)
Dr. Adnot is a Professor in the Department of Physiology at the Medical school of Créteil, and Cardiologist and Head of Medical Department of Functional Testing at Hôpital Henri Mondor, and Director of INSERM Research Unit 651 (2005).
Dr. Adnot earned his medical degree in 1982 at the Medical school of Créteil and his PhD at Pierre et Marie Curie University and his HDR from Paris XII University in 1993. From 1979-1981 he worked at theClinical Research Institute of Montreal (Dr. P. Hamet, Canada) and from 1983-1998 he completed work in INSERM U99 (J. Hanoune), 285 (B. Vargaftig) and 296 (G. Atlan). In 1998, he became Director of INSERM U492 and in 2005, he became Director of INSERM U651. His main field of interest is pulmonary hypertension.
Dr. Adnot is a regular manuscript reviewer for numerous medical journals. In 2002, Dr. Adnot became a Member of the INSERM Avenir council and a Member of the INSERM council “Centres for Clinical Investigation”; in 2003 he became a member of the American Thoracic Society’s steering committee “Pulmonary Circulation”; and in 2004, he became Vice President of the French Society of Physiology.
