Inhaled Nebulized Nitrite Reverses Experimental Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (Summary of Presentation)

Dr Zuckerbraun is currently Assistant Professor of Surgery, Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a Staff Surgeon at the Veterans’ Administration Medical Center in Pittsburgh. 

Dr Zuckerbraun received his BA in Biological Sciences from Northwestern University and his MD from Northwestern University Medical School.  He began his medical career as an Intern then Resident in General Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Health Center.  From 2000-2003, he was a Research Fellow in the Department of Surgery and from 2003-2005, he was a Resident in General Surgery.  Dr Zuckerbraun became an Assistant Professor of Surgery in 2005.

Recipient of numerous awards honoring his teaching, humanism, and research, Dr Zuckerbraun received the 2007 Henry Bahnson Teaching Award and the 2007 Richard Simmons Mentorship Award from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  He has written 35 peer-reviewed publications.
