Dr Kevil is presently Director of the Angiogenesis and Vascular Biology Section at the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center and Associate Professor, Department of Pathology and Cellular and Molecular Physiology, LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport.
Dr Kevil received his BS in Microbiology in 1992 from Northwestern State University, his PhD in Molecular Physiology from LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport in 1998, and completed his post-doctoral work in Genomics and Pathobiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr Kevil is involved in numerous professional societies such as the American Physiological Society and the Microcirculation Society, is a Council Member for Society for Free Radical Biology and Medicine, and sits on the American Diabetes Association Grant Review Panel.
A prolific writer, Dr Kevil has published forty seven journal articles. He completed two research grants and actively maintains four others. A recipient of many awards and honors, Dr Kevil was recently awarded the 2006 City of Hope Rachmiel Levine Scientific Achievement Award and was the Plenary Session Chair and Organizer of the SFRBM Annual Meeting, "Redox Regulation of Angiogenesis and Vascular Reactivity."
