Presentation Title
Mechanisms of Nitrite Reduction and Vasodilation in Fish Models (Summary of Presentation)
Dr Jensen received his DSc from Odense University in 1988 and has been Associate Professor of physiology there since 1991. Dr Jensen has also been a visiting scientist at research institutions in Germany, Finland, Sweden, England, and Canada. He is a member of the Danish Academy of Natural Sciences, the Society for Experimental Biology, the Scandinavian Physiological Society, and the European Society for Comparative Physiology and Biochemistry. His research interests encompass respiration physiology, acid-base balance, ionic regulation, and cellular ion transport. The research aims at understanding the influence of environment on the physiology of animals, and it includes studies of mechanisms at molecular, cellular, and organismic levels.
