| Dr.
Kim-Shapiro received his Ph.D. in biophysics from the University
of California, Berkeley, in 1993. He is an associate professor of
physics and also holds appointments in the departments of molecular
medicine and biomedical engineering at Wake Forest University. Earlier
in his career, Dr. Kim-Shapiro served in the Peace Corps (1984-1986)
