Early Use of Nitrite Therapy

Dr. Butler is an emeritus professor of chemistry in the Bute Medical School of the University of St. Andrews, in Fife. He earned his doctorate at the University of London. After postdoctoral work with Tom Bruice at Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York, Dr. Butler joined the staff of the Chemistry Department at the University of St. Andrews. He has followed the nitric oxide story from its earliest days and published numerous papers and reviews in this field of research.
