Meeting Goals and Objectives
At the end of the Harvard Lung Conference, participants should be able to:
- Define and review the pathogenesis of vascular and lung disease
- Define and review the molecular basis of the major paradigms involved in the pathogenesis of vascular and lung disease
- Define and translate the bench discoveries to human based lung diseases
- Define novel molecular targets which can serve as diagnostic and therapeutic targets in vascular and lung diseases
At the end of the CIMIT Inhalation Technology Workshop, participants should be able to:
- Define the current state of clinical care and unmet clinical needs in Asthma, COPD and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension from perspective of patients, providers, and industry.
- Identify innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of both acute and chronic respiratory conditions such as Asthma, COPD and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension that can improve patient care.
- Learn how the respiratory tract or "pulmonary highway" can provide a window for monitoring biomarkers of pulmonary disease states.
- Identify resources that can improve the delivery of drugs to the lung and advance pre-clinical and clinical research.
- Identify potential collaborative opportunities between academia, pharmaceutical and medical device industry to advance the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
