Statistical Methods in Physiomics - Clinical Tools and Research Tools
Dr. Michael Imhoff is a Reader in Medical Informatics and Statistics at the Medical School of Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany. Before joining the medical faculty in 2003, he worked in clinical practice as the Medical Director of the surgical intensive care unit in one of the largest German hospitals in Dortmund. Dr. Imhoff holds board certifications in general surgery and surgical intensive care, and a PhD in Medical Informatics and Statistics.
Dr. Imhoff s areas of scientific interest are surgical intensive care,
patient monitoring, clinical data management, statistical time series
analysis and related areas. His current research focus is on-line analysis
of patient monitoring data, medical device alarm systems, and the analysis
of complex physiological data. Since 1997, Dr. Imhoff also acts as a
Project Director at the Collaborative Research Center Reduction of Complexity
in Multivariate Data Structures (funded by the German Research Foundation
(DFG) as Sonderforschungsbereich SFB 475) at the Department of Statistics,
University of Dortmund.
