Christian Meisel received his MD in 1998 from the Charité – Universitaetsmedizin Berlin, Germany. He is currently Senior Scientist and Head of the Immunodiagnostic Laboratory at the Institute for Medical Immunology, Charité Berlin. His research interests include the mechanisms, diagnostics and treatment of temporary immunodepression after trauma, surgery, and severe infection.
