Andrew Bersten is Acting Director of the ICCU at Flinders Medical Centre, and Professor and Head of the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Flinders University. In addition to a busy clinical, and now administrative, workload, he has a broad range of research interests including acute lung injury, respiratory mechanics, heart failure, non-invasive ventilation and ventilatory strategies. In tandem with Neil Soni, Andrew Bersten is currently editing the next edition of Oh’s Intensive Care Manual.
